Please realize I know how the church works, was extremely active and raised good kids. I wanted so badly to marry a guy who had recently left the church. I hate to be so undiplomatic, but it will always create friction in your life to have this level of religious difference. I run a local nonprofit and had a demanding job, but it can never be as difficult or challenging as his job. I don't think we could have a real conversation about those points either.
And her husband now is dead and she is left to wonder about their future. All that being said, no one can tell you what is right for you except Heavenly Father. It is fundamental that we focus foremost on developing ourselves as suitably strong men. Accept yourself, and feel God accepting you, and everything else will follow. The church is very important to her. Your probably thinking of a sect of the Mormons, I'm sure there is one like that. So I feel a little frightened after reading this blog. I can pray for and with my youngest daughter and bless her thru prayer. I have feeling you stopped pursuing anyone unlikely to go for you.
