Mo Farah is once again in the spotlight amid fresh claims concerning his former coach Alberto Salazar and his use of various substances. Here, Telegraph Sport details all the issues Farah has faced in recent years. Primarily used to help heart and muscle disorders, L-carnitine has also been shown to boost athletic performance and is strictly limited in elite sport under the World Anti-Doping Agency Wada code, which permits sportspeople to injections of no more than 50ml in a six-hour period. It has long been known that Farah received L-carnitine injections before competing in the London Marathon, although Rob Chakraverty, the UK Athletics doctor who administered it, told a parliamentary hearing in that he did not properly record the procedure. UK Athletics, Chakraverty and Farah all insist it was within permitted levels. According to Panorama, when Farah was drug tested six days after the injections, on April 17, , he did not record L-carnitine on his doping control form as he was required to do. The programme also claims he later denied to United States Anti-Doping Agency Usada investigators that he had received the injections, only to hastily alter his account, saying he had initially forgotten. That change of heart came after he met UK Athletics head of distance running Barry Fudge and prompted him to allegedly rush back into the interview room as the investigators were packing up and reveal he had in fact received injections. He is a human being and not a robot.

Bernie Sanders' ascendance in the Democratic presidential primary has brought louder calls for some of his rivals to drop out of the race. Centrists need to consolidate their support behind a single candidate if they want to ensure the party doesn't nominate a democratic socialist, the argument goes. Someone needs to take one for the team. Amy Klobuchar said during a stop in Arkansas the day after the Nevada caucus, where she is in sixth place with all precincts reporting. Klobuchar, a little-known senator running on her grit and her record of winning centrist voters in her home state, is among the several candidates facing various levels of pressure to call it quits — and dismissing it out of hand. House Bill would enter West Virginia into an agreement with other states to allow nurses to practice across state lines without having to get multiple licenses. The compact would include both registered nurses, or RNs, and licensed practical nurses, or LPNs, who packed the committee room Friday as members debated the bill. There are currently 25 states in the nation that are part of a nursing licensure compact, including a number of states bordering West Virginia — Virginia, Maryland, and Kentucky for instance. The first version of the compact was drafted in the late s, and the first states signed on in In , the compact was revised, adding requirements for background checks for nurses and creating a commission to oversee the agreements. So far, no states have adopted the new compact model from and West Virginia is the first to consider it. Amy Summers is a sponsor of the bill. A nurse herself, she says West Virginia has had trouble keeping up with the demand for nurses, but the state has a low cost of living and the pay is good. The nurses are making a good wage in our state.
