I think you need to have a conversation with her. You are her MOH and you don't think you can afford to go on this trip because it's just too much. I have a bridesmaid who can't afford my weekend away in the woods and yes I'm bummed she can't come but it was something we discussed from the beginning.

My sister is a bridesmaid for her best friend's wedding. For her friend's bachelorette party, they're going to the Bahamas for four days. I thought a bachelorette party was a one night thing with maybe a limo, a bunch of drinks, a funny hat, and bar hopping. Am I totally wrong on this? Is going to the Bahamas way out of hand or something that is completely reasonable? I think that's a little bit out there and kind of pricey, since a hotel is involved, but, a lot more reasonable compared to a trip to the Bahamas. Flight, hotel, drinks, etc. I've never been married before so I'm not sure what the "protocol" is, but Comment advertisement Comments 9 BabyCenter may earn a commission from shopping links. I didn't have a bacherlorette party.

The girl squad gets together in matching bride tribe shirts, bathing suits, black and white dresses, or whatever costume theme is decided upon and proceed to make an extravagant affair of it all. Party favors are handed out like candy during a parade and the champagne is popped. Bachelorette parties are no easy task. So instead of just keeping it simple you freak out and take the whole shelf with you. Before you get any further in the bachelorette party planning prepare yourself for what could go wrong and then avoid it all by doing one thing. A big scene then follows and the number of witnesses makes you want to cringe. That maid just ruined the entire night.
That's nearly the median U. But your implicit agreement, once all this wedding stuff thrusts itself into gear, to make the bride-to-be as happy as humanly possible throughout the entire process has its limits. Or rather, it should. And here's exactly where: the out-of-control, over-the-top, ever-escalating bachelorette parties women have been outdoing themselves for. Bachelorette party fever is out of control.
